The Design Policy Lab is happy to announce the first official release of the Design Policy Beacon. By browsing the map, you can access the first two national profiles developed around design policy that we published so far: Italy and United Kingdom.

Six months have passed since we presented this project in the European frame of Design For Europe, during which we focused on designing a visual interpretative model, that maps design policy across the EU and provides insights about this field, based both on quantitative data and qualitative research.

We hope that the Design Policy Beacon can become an important resource for policymakers, in order to support them to make design a key part of national and regional policies for innovation and growth. Therefore, as we are approaching the next phase of the project, we want to use this tool as a starting point for a dialogue with institutional and governmental stakeholders, and involve them in helping us understand how to improve the project.
